The Joystick module is similar to analog joysticks found in gamepads. It consists with a miniature of two-axis joystick with up/down and left/right action. This Joystick Module can be used in robotic projects to control the robot's movements or directions.
This module produces two output signals which are analog and digital. Moving the joystick to the x and y-axis gives the analog output signals, which its output varies from 0 to 1023 depending on its direction. When at center position, it produces an output of around 2.5V (expect small variations due to tiny imprecisions of the springs and mechanism) from X and Y. Push button switch at the z-axis will gives a LOW signal output when the joystick is being pressed. It contains two independent potentiometers (one per axis) for reporting the joystick's position. Joystick includes spring auto return to center and a comfortable cuptype knob.
